Material Manager for Southern Military Region
Do you want to be part of something bigger and contribute to the defense of Sweden? The Skåne Group (SSK) at the Southern Military Region (MR S) is looking for a Material Manager for a civilian position based in Rinkaby. The position requires a high level of responsibility and integrity in line with the Armed Forces' core values.
About the Unit
The Southern Military Region is one of four military regions in Sweden, representing a permanent military-geographical division of Sweden's territory. The military region is responsible for territorial leadership & coordination of operations, total defense planning, defense planning, intelligence and security services, as well as support to society. The responsibility also includes production and operational leadership of MR S's five Military Region Groups with eleven Home Guard battalions.
The Skåne Group is a military region group (MR group), a combat unit, and part of the Southern Military Region's command capability. The unit is located at several sites in Skåne, and its primary task is to train, develop, and lead the Home Guard's four battalions (46th - 49th) in Skåne. The Home Guard is tasked with operating across the entire conflict spectrum - from supporting society during severe strains in peace to armed combat in war. The Home Guard is part of the Armed Forces' operational organization and constitutes almost half of the Armed Forces' personnel. Home Guard units are combat units with primary tasks of protecting, monitoring, and supporting society during crises. In this way, the Home Guard units form a national, territorial base for the defense and protection of Sweden.
Main Responsibilities
- Administer materials and vehicles in the PRIO and LIFT systems.
- Participate / take responsibility for material inventories.
- Participate in Home Guard exercises.
- Manage logistics orders.
- Conduct transportation of vehicles and materials.
- Order spare parts for the unit.
- Goods handling at the local warehouse.
- Administer error reports and service messages.
- Procurement of materials and services.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good knowledge of IT systems such as Microsoft Office.
- Class B driver's license

You have a good ability to work independently with authority, are meticulous, and have a good ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You have high social competence and share the Armed Forces' core values. You are both service-oriented and results-oriented and have excellent collaboration skills. We expect you to have a high level of personal integrity and the ability to create and maintain trust. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.

PREFERABLE
- Experience in logistics and material administration within the Armed Forces.
- Experience and knowledge of support systems PRIO and LIFT
- Driver's license (Armed Forces), light and/or heavy wheeled vehicles/ tracked vehicles.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Home Guard system.
- Familiarity with materials used within the Home Guard/Armed Forces.
- Experience from the Armed Forces in the form of conscription or Home Guard.
- Experience handling classified information.

Employment type: Permanent. The Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority.
Employment rate: Full-time. The position involves weekend and evening work.
Work location: Rinkaby
Start date: By agreement
Salary: Individual salary setting with a salary range of 31,000 - 38,000 SEK/month depending on education, competence, and experience.
